Made by two pairs of hands

Kala Archana is a small, slow studio from India. Most of what you see is made by my mum — paintings, journals, cards and little decor pieces she's poured her heart into for years. I add a few of my own bookmarks and journal-cover designs, and I help her share it all with the world.

We started this because handmade things carry something machine-made ones can't — the small imperfections, the time, the care. A painting that took a quiet afternoon. A journal sewn by hand. A letter written just for you.

Everything here is made in small batches, often one at a time, so many pieces are truly one of a kind. When something sells, it's really gone — and something new takes its place.
